The Fertile Rock
Seasons in the Burren
Carsten Krieger.

The Burren in County Clare on Ireland’s west coast is a most enigmatic landscape. This book takes you on a visual journey through the Burren during the four seasons. Conveying the serene beauty and unique aura of this ancient landscape the images of stunning natural beauty tell their own story: the changing face of the Burren from season to season, the rich flora and diverse fauna, important heritage sites, small details of stone and wider panoramic views of the landscape.

West Kerry Camera
Ceamara Chorca Dhuibhne
Pádraig Tyers.

Chorca Dhuibne is roughly the Dingle Peninsula. In 1991 Pádraig Tyers published a collection of photographs to illustrate the life and social history of the area from the late nineteenth century. The result was Ceamara Chorca Dhuibhne. This revised and enlarged edition includes many new photographs never published. Every parish is represented as is every aspect of life in those far-off days. Well-known names featured include 'Kruger' Kavanagh, Peig Sayers, Tom Crean, Tomás Ó Criomhthain and Robin Flower.
