We're excited to announce that several of our authors will be speaking in bookshops around the country on Friday 22 September as part of Culture Night 2017
Alice Carey will be Cork County Ambassador on the night and will give three diary writing seminars in Cork County Hall, at 5.30, 6.30 and 7.30 p.m. and will be 30 minutes long each. Booking is required.
Dominic Price will be part of a panel speaking in the Cheyne Room of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI), 6 Kildare Street, Dublin. The panel starts at 5.15 with Dominic's talk at 5.40 p.m. He will discuss the importance of historical sources in inspiring a cross-curricular approach for involving students in history. And he'll be in uniform!
Gerard Hanberry will take part in the now traditional Culture Night literary gathering in Charlie Byrne's Bookshop, Galway. There'll be readings, music and more from 5–10.30 p.m.
Lisa Marie Griffith will lead two walking tours of Trinity & South Georgian Quarter, at 5.30 p.m. meeting at the Mansion House on Dawson Street and 7.30 p.m. meeting at Theobald Wolfe Tone Statue on St Stephen's Green North
Paul Clements will be talking about the Wild Atlantic Way and travel writing in Eason, Donegall Place, Belfast, at 4 p.m.
Jim Rees will talk about the tenants removed from Wicklow to Canada during the Famine in Bridge Street Books, Wicklow.
John Gibney will lead a Northside Trail, starting at Glasnevin Cemetery Museum reception at 6 p.m. and finishing up at the Hugh Lane Gallery at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are limited.
